For LLC and small-business owners

Do you qualify for a business loan? First, check the records lenders screen.

Before a lender reads a single financial statement, it screens your business's records: good standing, an EIN, a business bank account, names and addresses that match across seven records, a credit file that exists. This free checker audits those records — in that order — and names every gap it finds.

The records check

Answer about your business's records as they are today — not as you plan them to be. The verdict is computed from what you report, by one standing rule, and it will not be softened: a hard stop prints as a hard stop.

Your business records
Is the business in good standing with your state today? The Secretary of State record shows the business as active and in good standing.
Does the business have its own EIN?An Employer Identification Number in the business's name — not your Social Security number.
A business bank account in the legal name?Titled in the business's exact legal name, under the EIN.
Is the legal name identical — letter for letter — on the state record, the EIN letter, and the bank account?
Are the business address and phone the same across your state record, bank, bureau listings, the 411 directory, and your Google profile?
Does the business have a D-U-N-S number?Dun & Bradstreet's identifier — the key to the business's D&B credit file.
A business phone in the business's name, listed in the 411 directory?
Supplier or vendor accounts whose payments are reported to a business credit bureau — how many?Only count accounts you know report. Most ordinary suppliers do not report at all.
A credit card, loan, or line in the business's name that reports to a business bureau?
Any defaulted federal debt?A prior default on a federal loan or a federally guaranteed loan, still unresolved.
Your numbers — for the floor comparison

Your answers stay in this browser (they are saved on this device only, so the report can be built after payment). Nothing is sent to a server, and no bureau file is pulled — this is a structured check of what you report.

What the check reads, in screening order

1 · The entity records

Good standing with your state, an EIN in the business's name, and a business bank account titled in the legal name. Failures here end applications before a person is involved.

2 · The match

The legal name, address, and phone compared across the state record, the EIN letter, the bank, the bureau listings, the 411 directory, and your Google profile. Mismatches are the classic silent denial.

3 · The file

Whether a business credit file exists at all — a D-U-N-S number at Dun & Bradstreet — and whether anything is reporting into it: supplier tradelines and credit accounts that actually report.

What this check cannot do

It pulls nothing. No bureau file is opened, no score is printed or estimated, and no verdict here is a lender's decision. It audits what you report, and stamps every result “Self-reported — not bureau-verified.” Lenders decide, on files and financials this check never sees. Anyone who promises you more than that is selling the promise, not the check.

How to Build Business Credit, in the Order That Works

How to build business credit step by step: state record, EIN, business bank account, D-U-N-S number, then supplier tradelines you verify report — in screening order.

Do I Qualify for a Business Loan? Start With the Published Floors

Do I qualify for a business loan? Lenders publish minimum floors — score, months in business, revenue. Here are the floors we could verify, dated, and the ones we could not.

Business Credit for a New LLC: The First Six Months, in Order

Business credit for a new LLC, in order: formation, EIN, business bank account, D-U-N-S, verified tradelines — and what cannot be hurried, whatever the ads say.

The D-U-N-S Number, in Plain Words

A D-U-N-S number explained plainly: it is free from Dun & Bradstreet, takes up to about 30 business days, opens your D&B business credit file — and it is not the UEI.
